A Preview Of The 2025 Student Union Elections

From 10am Monday to 3pm Thursday, students go to the polls to vote for student representation. There are overall 39 candidates for Full-Time Student Officer roles, meaning a lot of competition, particularly for roles such as SU President, Postgraduate Education and Activities and Engagement Officers. The full-time roles are the following:
The Roles: Full-Time Student Officers
- SU President
- Student Officer: Undergraduate Education
- Student Officer: Postgraduate Education
- Student Officer: Activities and Engagement
- Student Officer: Welfare and Community
- Student Officer: Accessible Education

- Prizes: you’re automatically entered into prize draws, with chances to win £500 cash, a £200 Tesco gift card, or a £100 Union Bar voucher!
- Effects: student representation affects all students, whether it be funding, academics, clubs and societies, student finance, or schemes such as The Pantry and Free Breakfasts.
