Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich
By Conor Mallon

Greed & Glamour
Glam metal band Warrant’s 1989 album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich [1] captures the hedonistic indulgence of 80s rockstars and the moral emptiness that comes with such hyper-capitalist fantasies. We live in a world in which fame and money triumphs over all ethical code and those individuals who embody extreme privilege exploit the masses and utilise this privilege to shield their own wrongdoing and hide their lack of morality.
Jeffrey Epstein was arrested twice: first in 2008, where he pleaded guilty to procuring a 14-year-old child for prostitution. He served 13 months with work release for this abuse of power. [2] In 2019 he was arrested on the 6th of July on federal charges of sex trafficking minors; and ultimately died by suicide under suspicious grounds awaiting trial. [3] Similar grounds to the death of Jean-Luc Brunel, famous French model scout, known Epstein associate, and alleged sex trafficker, accused by Virginia Giuffre of grooming her and others. Brunel faced pimping allegations dating back as early as 1988 [4] and died on the 19th of January 2022 by suicide.
Who Rules the World?
An ex-girlfriend of Epstein described him as a wannabe Bond impersonator who sought to control everyone and everything, collecting people, owning them, and damaging them. [5]. On January 30th, an additional 3 million pages were released adding to the relatively small amount from November 2025 when the Epstein Files Transparency Act was passed. These files reveal meetings of Epstein’s collected circle dating past his first arrest and the alleged dates that many of these public figures reported to have cut their ties with Epstein. Famous linguist Noam Chomsky met Epstein during July 2016 with great anticipation, emailing “We will be happy to see him, as we have been missing him.” [6]. Chomsky, a self-proscribed libertarian socialist and anarchist, advocates for the elimination of unjust and illegitimate authority. As well as this he advised Epstein in 2019 on how to deal with the “horrible way” the media was treating the sex-offender. Chomsky advisedsilence, criticizing the victims saying, “That’s particularly true now with the hysteria that has developed about abuse of women, which has reached the point that even questioning a charge is a crime worse than murder.” [7].
It is interesting how Chomsky’s own anti-power views of unjustified authority primarily held by corporate and state elites, gained, and sustained by propaganda and violence can be so paradoxically contrasted with such hypocritical evidence of wrongdoing. Peter Mandelson aka The Prince of Darkness called Epstein his “best pal” in a 2003 birthday book [8]. Mandelson, former Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, was forced to resign from his government position of BritishAmbassador to the United States last September.
Mandelson photographed in his underwear in a picture contained within the latest tranche of files related to Jeffrey Epstein. Department of Justice.
The Metropolitan police have started an investigation into Mandelson for alleged misconduct in public office. [9]. 8th in line to the throne and alleged sex-offender Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor aka Randy Andy was arrested on Thursday 19th of January on suspicion of misconduct in public office and questioned by the Thames Valley Police. The former Prince’s older brother King Charles III released a public statement in which he declared “the law must take its course.” [10].
The Law Must Take Its Course
Former United States senator George Mitchell, who played a pivotal role in the advancement and succession of Northern Ireland’s peace process had a bust in his honour removed from the grounds of Queen’s University Belfast. As the university seeks to distance itself from the man who Virginia Giuffre stated in an initial 2016 deposition as one of the individuals she was forced to have sex with. [11].
Queen’s handling of the situation can be seen as swift and decisive, deciding also to remove the senator’s name form it Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice. However, it was not, the £35,000 sculpture was built in April 2023 whilst the University had prior knowledge of alleged wrongdoing, this ceremonial removal is nothing short of cowardly and an admittance of fault.
Current Queen’s University Chancellor Hillary Rodham Clinton yields 740 results on the Department of Justice’s Full Epstein Library whilst her husband, former US President, and frequent passenger on the ‘Lolita Express’ Bill Clinton yields a whopping 1,602 results. Both Clinton’s have denied any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities. Both Clintons were subpoenaed by James Comer over their ties to the disgraced late financier. [12] The guilt seems rather obvious, and it will be very interesting to see what the couple’s statements return.
