The Stock Exchange: Belfast’s Newest Hospitality Experience

The Haymarket Belfast has now fulfilled its £3M investment in Belfast city, opening its third hospitality venue called The Stock Exchange [1]. The bar is revolutionary in the way it engages its customers, creating a new and exciting theme for students looking to escape sticky pub floors and dodgy folk renditions of Ed Sheeran songs perpetrated by live music acts across Belfast.

The bar has a host of activities for customers to enjoy – from Social Darts with built in state-of-the-art technology to fast-paced interactive games that have not yet been announced. Another major perk of this establishment is that groups can obtain their own personal setting to get into fun and friendly competitive games with a semblance of privacy associated, according to the description provided by the venue.

The main attraction, however, of this establishment is the stock market bar. While a completely new concept for Belfast, a number of similarly themed bars have hopped up across the UK – all with massive amounts of success. The basic concept of the bar describes the layout of the bar as a stock market office, with a board of all cocktails and drinks with varying prices dependant on the demand of the drinks on that given night! The bar has teased the appearance of market crashes where drink prices fall, creating a rush to purchase before the market recovers.

The Stock Exchange is a sister location of Haymarket Belfast and The Armoury opened earlier this year. The venue is set to open on Friday 29th of November and there is sure to be a rush for seats on opening night![2]

The owner Gareth Murphy stated :

“Powered by continuous growth, positive feedback and endorsement from thousands of customers since we introduced Haymarket in 2021 in the wake of the pandemic and our launch of The Armoury earlier this year, we are beyond thrilled to be launching a new and exciting competitive socialising experience to Belfast – and just in time for Christmas.”

“The Stock Exchange, part of our £3 million investment programme, plans to breathe new life into this important part of the city centre, restoring its heritage and protecting it for the future so it can be enjoyed by everyone.”[2]
